The Pacers had not won a game without Tyrese Haliburton this season. They had lost five in a row overall, and his left hamstring strain kept him out again Wednesday. They still beat the 6-1 Grizzlies 107-103 in Memphis, outscoring the home team 27-21 in the fourth quarter after entering it down two.

Indiana started fast, taking the first quarter 32-24, and led 54-52 at the half. Memphis won the third 30-26 to go up 82-80. The Pacers then held the Grizzlies to 21 in the fourth. Andrew Nembhard led Indiana with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting across a game-high 38 minutes. Pascal Siakam added 20 on 8-of-13, Aaron Nesmith had 16, and Quenton Jackson hit three of his five threes for 13.

Cedric Coward and Ty Jerome each scored 23 for Memphis. Coward added nine rebounds. Jerome made 10 of 20 shots but only 2 of 10 from three. Zach Edey posted the night's only double-double, 11 points and 13 rebounds in 25 minutes. Cameron Boozer shot 4 of 14 for 10 points, and starter Jaylen Wells went 0-for-3 in 21 minutes.

Ivica Zubac returned for Indiana and played 19 minutes, missing all five shots and scoring one point. The Pacers won anyway and moved to 3-6 as they open a three-game road trip. Memphis is 6-2, its second loss coming after a 135-134 overtime defeat to New Orleans.
