Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This policy explains what information NBA Stat collects when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

You can read NBA Stat without an account. If you register or use account features, we store:

  • Account details: your name, username, email address, a securely hashed password, time zone, and display preferences such as odds format.
  • Profile content: a profile image if you upload one, and your favorite teams and players.
  • Activity: messages you send through in-site messaging, votes and posts on the feedback board, and your activity in the free betting game, which uses virtual credits only.
  • Developer API use: your API token and logs of API requests, including the time, endpoint, a hashed IP address, and browser or client information.
  • Contact form: the name, email address, and message you send us.

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested pages, for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

We use this information to:

  • run the site and your account
  • send account emails such as email verification
  • answer messages and contact requests
  • enforce API limits and prevent abuse
  • understand how the site is used, if you allow analytics

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Cookies and analytics

Necessary cookies keep you signed in, protect forms, and remember your site preferences. They cannot be switched off.

Google Analytics is used only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner. It collects information about how pages are used. Advertising storage stays disabled either way. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

4. Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the site:

  • our web hosting and email provider, which stores the site, its database, and server logs and delivers account emails
  • Google, for analytics, only if you have accepted analytics cookies

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the safety of users and the service.

5. Retention

We keep account information while your account is active. Messages and contact requests are kept as long as needed to respond and to keep the service safe. When an account is deleted, its personal information is removed, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update your profile, time zone, and preferences on your profile page.

To get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account, contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We will respond to requests within a reasonable time.

7. Security

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and the site is served over HTTPS. No online service can guarantee complete security. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us promptly.

8. Children

NBA Stat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The updated date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

10. Contact
