Raptors Drop 47 on the Clippers in the Fourth, Erase a 13-Point Deficit and Win in Los Angeles

Toronto trailed 91-78 after three quarters, then outscored the Clippers 47-27 in the fourth to take a 125-118 win on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Toronto Raptors scored 47 points in the fourth quarter Monday night, turning a 13-point deficit into a 125-118 win over the LA Clippers. The Clippers had scored 27 in the final period, so the quarter swung the game by 20 points. Toronto entered it trailing 91-78 and left Los Angeles with its fourth win of the season.

For three quarters the night belonged to the home team. The Clippers led 33-22 after one and 63-52 at the half. Toronto won the second quarter 30-30 on the scoreboard only in the sense of matching it, and the third went to Los Angeles 28-26. Kobe Sanders led the Clippers with 26 points, hitting 5 of 11 from three. Isaiah Jackson made 9 of 11 shots for 19, and Darius Garland had 16 points and 8 assists. It was enough to build a cushion. It was not enough to keep one.

Immanuel Quickley led Toronto with 27 points on 8-of-13 shooting, and RJ Barrett added 26 on 10-of-19. Scottie Barnes, listed as questionable with a left hip issue before the game, played 38 minutes and put up a double-double: 22 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Collin Murray-Boyles had 18 points and 7 rebounds, and Jamison Battle came off the bench for 12 points, making 4 of 6 from three.

The Raptors came in 3-3 and playing the second night of a back-to-back after a loss to the Lakers. The Clippers, with one win on the season, had the game in hand into the fourth quarter and could not hold it. Toronto won by seven, and the fourth quarter decided it.
